The Royal Oak is an ideal base from which to explore Kent, the `Garden of England`. Situated just a few minutes walk from Sevenoaks town centre, the hotel is the premier hotel in the area. The Royal Oak Hotel was built in the Eighteenth Century of Kentish Ragstone as a town centre coaching inn. The Royal Oak has always been a popular retreat for local people, guests and visitors from overseas.

The Royal Oak Hotel is located opposite the National Trust`s large property, Knole House and Deer Park. The historic town of Sevenoaks is within five minutes driving distance of the M25 London Orbital, and has a superb rail link into London Charing Cross (32 minutes journey time).
