The Hours Fly by Where Time Stood Still....... A genuine seaside `hidden gem` near fashionable Aldeburgh, unique amongst holiday villages. Located adjacent to the Meare and gardens this hotel offers 30 large, well-decorated en-suite bedrooms, ideal for couples or families planning a short break or longer stay. There is a friendly bar serving light lunches, as well as a restaurant open in the evenings serving traditional and contemporary dishes useing fresh local produce. The sun terrace overlooks the lake and gardens, where in Summer the hotel has rowing boats for hire. The ideal location to discover the Suffolk coast, excellent coastal walks, birds and wildlife, cycling, riding or just relax on the beach. Our own 18 hole golf course is one of the finest in East Anglia often compared to Woodhall Spa, a test for the experienced golfer. The village still has the traditional atmosphere and quirkiness of a by gone age. Built in the early 1900s as a holiday destination for coloniels home on leave, modern facilities have been sympathetically introduced.
