Situated high on the hillside within the 24,000 acre Vyrnwy Estate, the hotel commands breathtaking views of mountains, lakes and moorland. It is also surrounded by lawns, an abundance of rhododendrons, woods and meadowlands. Built in 1890 the hotel maintains a timeless chic, warmth and old world courtesy and charm.

The hotel`s 38 bedrooms are all ensuite and individually decorated and furnished, many with wonderful antiques. Some have special features such as romantic Four Posters and jacuzzis, suites or private balconies. The candlelit restaurant offers award winning cuisine presenting seasonal menus, using local and homegrown produce.

The hotel owns some of Wales best fishing together with some 16,000 acres of sporting rights, offering a wide variety of pursuits for all. Also an RSPB sanctuary, the estate provides a wealth of wildlife and represents true peace and tranquility.
