The Peveril of the Peak Hotel takes its name from the romantic novel penned by Sir Walter Scott in 1822.

Set in 11 acres of grounds within the Peak District, the hotel is an oasis of calm allowing you to stay amid some of the finest scenery that the area has to offer.

With the towering presence of Thorpe cloud as a backdrop and the rolling Thorpe pastures to one side, your tranquility and relaxation is assured as the stresses and strains of twenty-first century life melt away.

The famous stepping stones in the River Dove dividing Derbyshire and Staffordshire are only minutes away and are just one of the many renowned features along the river`s stretch.

Whether you simply fancy a few restful days, change of scenery, a piece of the action or time with the family, the Peveril of the Peak is the perfect host.
