Boath House is a Grade A Listed Georgian Mansion set in twenty acres of streams, woodland and lawns. Overlooking its own trout lake, the building was built on the site of an older house mentioned in Court Circulars at the time of Mary Queen of Scots.

Gardens
The grounds were set out around 1730, prior to the building of the present house. Many of the trees are nearly four hundred years old and include specimen trees from many countries. The lake is stocked with rainbow and brown trout, which attract many water birds including the rare Scottish Osprey. It was on the rising ground in front of the house, on a misty morning in 1645 that the Royalist and Covenanting armies waited to join battle in the adjacent fields. There is a continually changing Scottish Contemporary Art Exhibition with over 150 pieces.

Restaurant
Local Scottish fare is freshly prepared and changed daily for our award-winning restaurant. Based on traditional foods and old recipes, combined with Continental and vegetarian dishes give balanced and interesting menus, whilst retaining the ethos of quality, freshness and value so important in the traditional Scottish kitchen.

Beauty and Leisure
The house has a Spa and Beauty treatment room where we provide a complete beauty service. Treatments range from facials to massage, aromatherapy, reflexology and much, much more.

Bedrooms
The eight large ensuite bedrooms are individually styled. With garden and woodland views. Many of the rooms also have four poster beds.

Sporting
Nairnshire and the surrounding area boast not only some of Scotland`s best golf courses but also salmon and trout fishing, rough shooting and stalking. The area is also popular for sailing, canoeing, cycling, hill walking, climbing and riding, and a host of other activities from birdwatching to geology. Details
