Following a £3.5 million refurbishment, The Winchester Hotel has been transformed into a sparkling 4-star Boutique-style hotel, bringing stylish, chic and contemporary design to the heart of the ancient capital. Every bedroom has been upgraded to offer modern décor, air-conditioning, laptop safes, broadband internet access, plenty of desk area to work at and, of course, seriously comfortable beds. The main conference room, renamed `The Malory Suite`, reflects the connection to Winchester`s historic past as text from the 15th Century poem `Le Morte d`Arthur` is layered into feature wall panels in the room. Hutton`s Brasserie & Bar has been completely rebuilt as a sophisticated destination restaurant with walnut floors, leather banquette seating and a stunning feature wall. The reception area has also been given special treatment. Antiqued mirror, leather, and black walnut are amongst the natural materials selected to emphasise the warm and welcoming quality. Awaiting classification 4*.
