The Enverdale House Hotel was built in 1885 as a grand house by a local business man and was converted to a Hotel in 1973. The Hotel is located on the outskirts of Coupar Angus with scenic views overlooking the countryside. The Hotel has a large picturesque garden with mature trees, colourful flower beds and a lovely water feature. There is a seating area in the garden to enjoy the views on a summer`s day.

Yvonne and Hamish Buchanan took over the Hotel in June 2005 with their family. The chefs are sons Mathew and Tristin, with his partner. Front of house is organised by their daughter Samantha. All are dedicated to providing a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

The restaurant seats 48 covers, which can also be used for intimate dining for two or larger parties. The restaurant has character and atmosphere with a log fire. Large sash windows overlooking the woodlands and the garden.

Our A la carte menu offers fresh food of the highest quality using local produce. The menu is changed according to the seasons.

We have a ballroom capable of holding 200 guests for all types of functions, weddings, anniversaries, parties and conferences. To accompany this we have a licence to hold wedding ceremonies here, either in the ballroom or for something different, hold the ceremony in the garden.

Tristin had competed in several competitions, and recently was placed second in the Scottish Food Scholarship; he also attended the Academy of Culinary Arts in London and received an award of excellence. Previously Tristin was part of the Scottish Junior Culinary Team who won gold in the World Cup in Luxemburg.

There are lots of interesting activities in the immediate area including excellent fishing & hill walking. There are several local distilleries to enjoy a trip around and sample some of Scotland`s finest whiskeys. Some of Historic Scotland`s great attractions, Scone Palace and Glamis Castle. There are several major golf courses in the area with championship courses at St. Andrews and Carnoustie only a half hour drive away.
