Built in 1800s and designed by Thomas Carlyle`s father, this sandstone building which stands in it`s own beautifully kept grounds. Run and owned by Thelma and Nigel Jackson. Has recently been refurbished. Restaurant and bar meals freshly prepared are available. Good selection of beers, real ales, lagers and malt whiskies. Function room available for special ocassions.
