The 17th century Whately Hall is a treasure trove of traditional atmosphere and charm. Among its delights you will find original wooden beams and stone fireplaces, hidden staircases, priest holes and/ according to local legend, the merry ghost of Father Bernard.

On a more contemporary level, Whately Hall is also an excellent centre for meetings and conferences. It offers superb four star standard accommodation, a choice of six meeting rooms and the oak panelled restaurant has a wonderful ambience for wining and dining guests.

The historic market town of Banbury with its famous Cross just in front of the hotel is an ideal base for exploring the nearby Cotswolds and Oxfordshire countryside. Shakespeare`s Stratford-upon-Avon is only a short drive away. Sulgrave Manor - the ancestral home of George Washington. The magnificent Broughton Castle where TV`s Pride & Prejudice was filmed is open to the public. Motor enthusiasts can visit The Motor Heritage Centre at Gaydon with its large collection of cars charting the history of British motoring. 25 minutes from Warwick Castle and Stratford-upon-Avon.
