Between Shakespeare`s Stratford-upon-Avon, the rolling Cotswolds and the Vale of Evesham is the Roman village of Abbot`s Salford. Steeped in history, Salford Hall is a romantic Grade 1 listed manor house. It was built in the late 15th century as a retreat for the monks of Evesham Abbey and the imposing stone wing was added in the 17th century. Essentially unchanged, stained glass, a priest hole, exposed beams, oak panelling and original decorative murals are examples of the well-preserved features of the interior. The period charm is doubly appealing when combined with modern comforts, gracious furnishings, delicious food and an extensive selection of fine wines.
