This hotel provides excellent accommodation and is only a 10 minute walk from the historic Boscastle harbour, which dates from Elizabethan times and remains unspoilt today. The walk takes you through the old village of Boscastle, situated on the dramatic north coast of Cornwall. A charming Victorian building, Tolcarne House stands in a superbly elevated position in its own extensive grounds. With spectacular views - downhill to the wooded Jordon Valley and of the National Trust-owned cliff tops - the gardens have wide lawns (including a croquet lawn), mature shrubs and majestic trees. Resident owners, Margaret & Graham Crown, have long experience in making their guests feel welcome and the house itself adds greatly to an atmosphere of contentment and peace.
