Since the 12th century, Amberley Castle has nestled in the lee of the lovely South Downs, few have had the good fortune to discover what lies within its walls - until now! The oak portcullis is still lowered each night giving total security and peace of mind.

Dine in the splendid 12th Century Queens Room or the Baronial Great Room and sample exquisite cuisine and extensive wine cellar. Explore the magnificent 14th century walls and battlements, which enclose a delightful garden.

The beautifully appointed bedrooms each with their own jacuzzi, ensure that the guests feel truly pampered. With five suites, set just outside the walls, within the dry moat, offering flexibility and access at any time, without the restrictions of the portcullis at midnight.

The property is celebrating its 900th anniversary in 2003 and throughout the special year residential guests receive a copy of a new book on its exciting as a pillow gift.
