Dating from the 14th Century, Bailhouse offers luxury Bed & Breakfast accommodation in the heart of Lincoln. Only a couple of hundred metres from the Castle and Cathedral, Bailhouse holds a prime position on the Bailgate in the historic cathedral quarter of the city.

The house itself has a rich history, starting life as a medieval hall (circa 1350), of which a large part of the beamed roof and low walls are preserved in one of the bedrooms and the kitchen area. Many additions have been made to the house since then, so the house has evolved over 600 years from a medieval hall to a residential home for the elderly which closed down in 1999, with several incarnations as a public house or Inn along the way.

The spacious bedrooms, all with king size beds, have been sympathetically decorated to complement the architecture and history of the building, comprising medieval, Victorian and Georgian aspects.

There are a number of feature rooms with four poster beds and special features such as 40` flat screen TVs and larger en suite bathrooms as well as fourteenth century beamed ceilings. Luxury bathroom suites have been installed and all rooms have independently controlled central heating. Each room has a unique view of the Castle, Cathedral Spires or the Bailgate. Colour televisions, hostess trays and telephones are provided in all rooms. Restaurant
