The Royal Hop Pole is a privately-owned AA 3star hotel set in a picturesque medieval street in the centre of Tewkesbury. A former coaching inn, it is thought to incorporate one of the oldest inns in Gloucestershire.
The hotel has a beautifully-tended garden leading down to the River Avon, with timeless rural views across the Ham to the Malvern Hills.
Tewkesbury is full of history, with the famous Abbey, medieval alleyways, timber-framed buildings and the site of the decisive battle of the Wars of the Roses all just a short walk from the hotel. A short drive away are excellent shopping and horseracing in Regency Cheltenham; the cathedrals of Gloucester, Hereford and Worcester; the Cotswolds; the Malvern Hills; the Forest of Dean, and much more.
For picturesque location, comfortable rooms full of character, delicious food and warm hospitality, join us at the Royal Hop Pole.
