In a setting of incomparable beauty the Watersmeet is situated in one of the finest and most dramatic locations in the South West, it commands an elevated position at the waters edge above Combesgate Beach with steps leading directly to the sandy beach.

The magnificent views of the rugged coastline to Lundy Island can be enjoyed from the large picture windows in the reception rooms ensuring that guests can admire the ever-changing coastline.

Under the ownership of Amanda James a tasteful refurbishment has transformed the bedrooms, consistent with the high standard of the hotel, to include all accruements for luxury living. All boast superb uninterrupted sea views and many have balconies.

Award winning imaginative menus combine the use of the finest quality local ingredients with thoughtfully balanced dishes, taken in the pavilion AA rosette restaurant while admiring the sunsets by candlelight.

Lunch and tea may be taken alfresco on the terrace or in the picturesque tea garden, or relax in front of a blazing log fire on the cooler days. Recreational facilities include heated outdoor and indoor pool with newly installed hot spa and steam room. Scenic coastal walks along National Trust land and Saunton Sands championship Golf Course are nearby.

The excellent reputation of the hotel with the impeccable service, relaxation theme and home from home ambiance continues to attract guests year after year.
