We are set in the heart of Thunderbridge, a small hamlet just south of Huddersfield, and offer a friendly and personal service. Dating from the 19th century, the Inn is built from local Yorkshire stone and is surrounded by 9 acres of mature deciduous woodland. The Woodman Inn boasts the exceptionally good walking country of the southern Pennines nearby, as well as a fascinating choice of attractions a few minutes drive away. These include Holmfirth, Bronte Country, the Royal Armouries, The National Mining Museum, The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Chatsworth House, Nostell Priory, and Harewood House. We bought the Inn in 1996, and in the following year, bought the 3 adjoining weaver`s cottages. These were added to the Inn to provide 12 bedrooms, each of which is fully equipped with en-suite facilities, telephone, TV, trouser press and a hospitality tray to create a truly inviting and comfortable Country Inn.
