June and Ross Nicolson invite you to stay at Newstead - a delightful and friendly guest house located between the villages of Windermere and Bowness in the heart of the Lake District one of England`s most beautiful tourist destinations. Built in 1897 of traditional Lakeland stone, Newstead Guest House is a very fine example of a detached Victorian villa. The guest house retains many original features including Victorian rose terrace, splendid hall and staircase, marble fireplaces, mahogany woodwork, and even its serving bells. The guesthouse has been stylishly refurbished to a very high standard with the extensive use of designs from the Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau and Gothic movements recalling the splendour of Victorian times. There are 8 colourful, interior designed, en-suite guest bedrooms comprising double, twin, family, and larger deluxe four posters including a superb king-size. We regret that Newstead is not suitable for children under the age of 7 years.
