Situated at the head of Loch Etive in Argyll, near the foot of Ben Cruachan, Taynuilt is a beautiful village in the heart of the West Highlands of Scotland.
Recently upgraded, this 16th century Coaching Inn provides an excellent base to visit the surrounding area, located close to Oban with it`s many links to the western Isles, and within easy driving distance of Inveraray, Fort William and Glencoe. There are also opportunities to take part in the many activities offered in the area. These include Sea-Angling, River Fishing, Loch Fishing, Loch cruises, Golf, Hill-walking and Deer-Stalking.

We have 12 well appointed bedrooms (10 en-suite family, double and twin rooms plus 2 single rooms with shared facilities).

Our food is renowned for both its quality and the generosity of the portions that are served in our restaurant. We use only Scottish beef, haddock and sole from Oban pier, mussels from Loch Etive, salmon and trout from Loch Awe and scallops dived for by local divers. Our menu also offers a range of traditional bar meals including vegetarian dishes, catering for all appetites, tastes and budgets.

The relaxing, informal, and friendly atmosphere has ensured that visitors return to us time and again.

As is common with the whole of Scotland, all our public areas are no smoking. We have also extended this to all bedrooms.
