??an be strange places. Whole species get stranded on them, existing nowhere else on Earth. Nick and Nicky Hayward are living proof of this. For a start, you wonder whether Nick actually exists at all. When you ask Nicky where Nick is, the answer is invariably, `He1s becalmed`, or, `He1s lashed to the tiller`. Could it be that Nicky is a tragic woman who1s invented her husband?

In fact, Nicky seduced Nick in The Seaview and modestly gave the credit to the breakfast in bed. It was clearly so phenomenal they bought the entire hotel and have now won enough awards to earn a slipped disc. They live in a bank, its vaults full of Chateau Petrus, and play host to admirals and stokers as well as Boy George and the King of Norway. It could be said the Haywards carry on an island tradition - wrecking - except that The Seaview is a place you1d want to be wrecked in, as it were. Whether it1s the local seafood in one of their excellent restaurants, a spot of five-star seduction, or simply peering out to sea looking for Nick, The Seaview has the charm, beauty, style, cosiness and sheer curiosity to satisfy all legal tastes.
