Prestonfield House was built in 1687 and opened as a hotel in 1959 and is one of Scotland`s finest historic mansions. Adjacent to Arthur`s seat and surrounded by formal gardens and a golf course the hotel is only 5 minutes from the city centre. The deluxe bedrooms complement the historic ambience of one of Scotland`s finest historic buildings, still furnished with the original family collections.
All our guest bedrooms are individually designed, but the sumptuous d�cor and spaciousness of Room Seventeen is typical of our large luxury doubles.
Each is styled with super king-size or twin beds, comfortable chairs or sofa, a writing desk, decorative antiques, and a dressing area with fully fitted wardrobes, trouser press, iron and ironing board - and a hospitality tray.
Walls are covered in tactile velvets, silk brocades, or hand-printed papers. And discreetly hidden inside a splendid Gothic cabinet, you�ll find a 30� flat screen television, DVD player, safe, plus a mini-bar. Every room has a Bose Wave sound system and direct-dial telephone with voicemail.
Bathrooms are finished in marble and Venetian glass mosaic, with luxury robes, warm fluffy towels, and exclusive toiletries
