Warmly welcoming, this award winning retreat stands serenely in 50 acres of parkland including a large trout lake, a haven for fascinating wildlife. Excellent salmon and trout fishing is available on the rivers Wye and Irfon and the hotel`s own picturesque lake which regularly yields trout of five pounds and over and has no closed season.
There is tennis, croquet, clay pigeon shooting and a nine hole golf course within the grounds. The hotel`s billiard`s room is a popular evening venue. There are four 18 hole courses in the vicinity and pony trekking can be arranged.
