Benedictine monks originally owned this `Grade I listed` house, one of Lavenham`s finest. Bedrooms feature crown posts, wall paintings and oak floors, with four-poster, lit bateau and polonaise beds. Visitors can relax by inglenook fires in the 13th century Great Hall. Breakfast and pre-dinner drinks can be enjoyed in the sheltered courtyard herb garden. A relaxed family atmosphere, good humour and a memorable visit are Gilli and Tim`s objectives. Lavenham is often described as one of the finest medieval villages in England with its historic buildings and streets. Within easy walking distance of The Priory are the Guildhall, Wool Church, antique and gift shops, tea rooms, restaurants and country strolls. Abandon your car for the day.
